Frequently Asked Questions
POPULAR QUESTIONS
How does the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece work?
During sleep, the back of your throat relaxes too much, leading to muscle collapse and airway blockage. This can result in awakening with choking and gasping for air.
Our AirFlow™ Mouthpiece gently positions your jaw forward in the optimal sleep position. Widening your airway, ensuring better oxygen flow, and effectively relieving sleep apnea. Wear it before sleeping and you’ll wake up feeling refreshed!
Is there a money-back guarantee?

However, the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece should not be used by individuals who have Central sleep apnea (CSA) or severe sleep apnea.

How long do I boil the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece for?
When preparing the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece for custom fitting, it's important to heat the water to just below boiling. Then, using a kitchen utensil, immerse the mouthpiece in the hot water for precisely 60 seconds — this precise timing is key for an optimal fit without compromising the mouthpiece's integrity. For additional guidance, including detailed instructions and tips, please refer to our comprehensive How It Works page.
How should I adjust the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece?
The AirFlow™ Mouthpiece adjusts in one-millimeter increments, up to ten millimeters. We suggest starting at the one-millimeter setting on your first night. How long does it last?
With proper care, our AirFlow™ Mouthpiece lasts around 3 years, but for maximum comfort and results, we suggest replacing it every 6-12 months. Moreover, if you experience teeth grinding during sleep or tend to bite down forcefully, it might be necessary to replace them more often.
FACTORS AND CONSIDERATIONS
Can it be worn with dentures?
The AirFlow™ Mouthpiece is generally not suitable for individuals with dentures. It requires the upper and lower four front teeth to be natural for effective use. If you have dental bridges or partials, especially near the back of your mouth, we recommend consulting with your dentist before purchasing or using the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece.
Can it be worn with braces?
The AirFlow™ Mouthpiece is not recommended for individuals wearing braces or those undergoing any form of orthodontic treatment.
Can it be worn if I have crooked teeth?
The AirFlow™ Mouthpiece is designed to accommodate various dental alignments, including mildly crooked teeth. Thanks to the 'boil and bite' method, you can easily mold it to match the unique contour of your teeth, ensuring a custom and comfortable fit.
However, for those with severely crooked teeth, we recommend consulting with your dentist before making a purchase.
Can we use medical insurance to buy this product? Is it HSA-eligible?
We recommend that you check your insurance provider to find out whether they offer reimbursement.
Can I use it if I have overbite?
Many customers with an overbite have reported success and better sleep when using our AirFlow™ Mouthpiece. We suggest starting at the one-millimeter setting on your first night. If you don't feel results after 3-5 days, increase by one millimeter. Continue this pattern if needed.
Can it be worn with CPAP machine?
Yes, you can use the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece with a CPAP machine. It's designed to work well with various types of CPAP masks, including nasal-prong and total face masks. This combination can help improve sleep quality and reduce snoring.
However, it's essential to consult with your doctor or physician before using both together to ensure it's suitable for your specific needs and conditions. They can offer personalized guidance.
Can I use it instead of my CPAP machine?
The decision of whether you still need to use your CPAP machine in addition to the AirFlow™ Mouthpiece should ideally be made in consultation with your healthcare provider. They can assess your specific medical condition, the severity of your sleep apnea, and other factors to provide you with the most informed and personalized advice. While a mouthpiece can be effective in certain cases of mild to moderate sleep apnea, it may not replace the need for a CPAP machine in more severe cases. Your health and sleep quality are paramount, so it's essential to work closely with your doctor to ensure the best treatment plan for your individual needs.
